What is the medicated weight management service?

In combination with a calorie-controlled diet and exercise programme, our medicated weight management service can help you reach a healthy weight.

You'll have a free first consultation with one of our pharmacists, who will ensure it is suitable for you, explain how the service works and how to use it effectively.

Who is the service suitable for?

The service is available for people aged between 18 and 75, whose body mass index (BMI) falls within a specific range.

The service may be suitable for you if:

your BMI is 30 or above
your BMI is 27 or above and you have one underlying weight-related health condition (for example diabetes or hypertension).

If you are suitable, we can prescribe Wegovy or Mounjaro injections.

How much does the service cost?

Your consultation is free and the medication costs are :

This includes the supply of injections for a month and a monthly consultation with one of our pharmacists, who will track your progress and provide information and advice to support you on your weight loss journey.

We will touch base with you face to face each month, before you are supplied with your next months medication (no appointment necessary for these follow ups).

*You won't be charged until you've completed your consultation and the pharmacist has confirmed the service is suitable.

They will need to take some measurements from you, including your:

Weight
Height
Blood pressure (this measurement is optional).
Waist circumference (this measurement is optional).

If the service is suitable for you to use, you'll pay for your weight loss treatment at this appointment and receive your first months injections.

Monthly treatment going forward

Pop into the pharmacy each month where we will touch base face to face to check your progress and make sure that the service is still suitable for you. You will then receive your your next month of treatment. No appointment is needed for these follow up supplies.
