When you travel abroad, you often need additional vaccinations to protect yourself from infections which pose a threat in other parts of the world.
We can help.
Simply fill in a quick form below and we will give you a call to discuss your travel needs.
The travel vaccination service is simple:
1. Fill in the travel consultation form here.
2. We will then call you to discuss your travel needs and run through a medical assessment to make sure you are suitable for the vaccines.
3. We then book you in for an appointment in the pharmacy at a date and time that suit you to administer the vaccines.
It's as easy as that.
The initial phone-call allows us to gather specific information about your travels and about your health. We then conduct a medical risk assessment on the call to allow us to recommend safe, appropriate vaccinations to cover your travels.
We will then arrange an appointment with you to administer the recommended vaccines.
Our service offers the following vaccinations:
- Cholera
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Japanese encephalitis
- Meningitis ACWY
- Rabies
- Tick borne encephalitis
- Typhoid
Travellers not sure of their vaccination history should check with their GP.
Getting vaccinated can help prevent you from getting ill if you're exposed to diseases which we don't normally have in the UK. We can help you understand how to keep your risks low of getting a disease whilst abroad and inform you of which vaccinations and antimalarials you may want to consider depending on things like:
• Which regions you'll be visiting
• What activities you'll be doing
• Your age and general health
Ideally, you should see us six to eight weeks before travelling, but we may still be able to help if you're leaving sooner.
If you need antimalarials our pharmacists can offer you these as part of this service, if they're suitable. You don't have to book a separate appointment with the Malaria Prevention Service.
